Geelong Advertiser Tuesday 26th December 1905; MILLER.-On the 23rd December, 1905, at his residence, "Gowan Brae," Teesdale, David, the dearly beloved husband of Mary Miller, aged 73 years. (A colonist of 50 years.) "A patient sufferer gone to rest." The remains were interred in the Teesdale Cemetery yesterday (Monday, Christmas Day), the 25th inst. ALEX MONRO, Undertaker, 26 Ryrie-street, Geelong.
Geelong Advertiser Tuesday 26th December 1905; The funeral of the late Mr. David Miller, a highly respected resident of Teesdale - of 52 years' standing, took place yesterday afternoon; the remains being interred in the Presbyterian portion of the Teesdale cemetery in the presence of a large gathering of friends. The deceased was trustee of the local church, and superintendent of the Teesdale Sunday school. The hearse was
followed by 36 private vehicles and a number of horsemen. The coffin, which was of polished oak, surmounted in heavy silver mounts, was carried to the; grave by Messrs. H. Adams, F. Miller, T. Murrell and-G. Simpson, and the following gentlemen supported the pall, viz., Messrs. J. Grant; J. Murrell, H. Cations, S. E. Fedderson, P. King, J. Wilson ,V. Grant and G. Squires. The Rev. J. E. Hickingbotham officiated at the house and grave. Mr. Alex. Monro, of Geelong, had charge of the mortuary arrangements.
