Standard (Frankston, Vic.) Friday 1 November 1940 NO LIGHTS. Cyclists Fined. A statement that he had borrowed a bicycle from a friend so that he could visit his wife who was in hospital, was made by Frederick C. Littlechild, a soldier, of Seaford, who was charged at the Frankston court on Friday with, riding a bicycle on the evening of September 21 without a light. Mr. Nicholas, P.M., said any man who valued his life was very foolish to take such a risk. He imposed a fine of 20/, in default, three days.
