- Gippsland Times (Vic.) Monday 6 March 1939 TREW-TRAILL "Happy is the bride, the sun shines on." Well the day was all that could be desired for the marriage of Gladys Essy, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Traill, of Wurruk, to Jack Keith, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Trew, late of Kilmany, now of Sale, and which happy event took place at the Methodist Church, Sale at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. The Rev. H. M. Knuckey, of Tasmania, was the celebrant. The bridesmaids were the Misses Edna and Margery Traill and Nell Ross. The bridegroom had as his best man his brother Mr. Bertram Trew, and the duties of usher were carried out by Messrs. Victor Cameron and Colin Weir. The reception was held at the Victoria Hall. The beautiful three-tier cake, which was made and decorated by the bride's sister, Margery, was greatly admired and was truly an artistic achievement. TThe honeymoon is being spent in Adelaide and on the return Mr. and Mrs. Trew will take up residence in Lansdowne street.
