- The Auld Kirk
I sometimes think of the friends I knew, Of my corner seat in the family pew,
And, I must confess, shed a tear or two
For my dear auld kirk.
I used to go there in sun and rain, The sweetest of memories still remain;
I wonder if e'er I'll see it again
Oh, my dear auld kirk!
It seemed like a bit of heaven to me, To forget life's worries awhile, and be
Refreshed and strengthened anew by Thee.
In my dear auld kirk.
