- Captain Edward Waller ( Kilner's father ) had three sons and a daughter by his first wife, Anna Maria Percy. (died at Berhampore, near Calcutta, India on 1-Nov-1824. Captain Edward Waller, born Limerick Ireland, was part of H. M. 87th Regiment, Royal Irish Fusileers.
He married in India a second time in 1825, and died there in 1826. His baby girl (from second wife ) perhaps was born after his death.
Kilner was born - Kilner Waller, born 26-Apr-1816 in Gosport, Hampshire, England. A brother, 2 years older, Robert Waller born 26-Feb-1814 in Bilbao, Spain. John Gough Waller, born 3-Jan-1820, in Kanpur, India. He lived and died in Sydney. Isabella Waller, born in 1821 or 22 in the Presidency of Bengal India By his second wife, Sarah Buckingham, he had a daughter Harriet Sherlock Waller (b. 1826 in Calcutta, India).
On the night of Thursday, the 20th. instant, through the melancholy wreck of the ship Dunbar, near the entrance of Sydney Harbour, after a previously prosperous voyage from London,- Mr.Kilner Waller, aged 41 years son of the late Captain Edward Waller, of H. M. 87th Regiment, Royal Irish Fusileers, and brother of Mr. J. G. Waller, of Wynyard-square, Sydney; also Hannah Maria, his wife, and daughter of the Rev. Henry Dowling, of Launceston, Tasmania ; also their six children, Mary Dowling, aged 13 years: Edward Kilner, aged 9 years; Kate Elizabeth, aged 8 years; Maria Theresa, aged 6 years; Arthur Henry, aged 4 years and 3 months; John Leonard, aged 3 years and the servant accompanying them.
Launceston Examiner Saturday 8th October 1842; MARRIED - At the Baptist Chapel, York-street, Launceston, on the 4th instant, KILNER, second son of the late Capt. Edward WALLER, 87th Royal Irish Fusileers, to HANNAH MARIA, second daughter of the Rev. Henry DOWLING, of Launceston.
