We regret having to record the death of Miss Maria (Myrtie)Louttit, daughter of Mr J. Louttit,of Woorndoo (near Mortlake), and niece of Mr and Mrs A. Louttit (Corack East) and the late Mrs J.R. Hornsby, the sad event taking place in Melbourne on Friday last. The body was brought to Donald on Saturday, and was interred in the Donald cemetery on Sunday afternoon, 23rd inst. The Rev J.Walker conducted the burial service Deceased was born at Corack 31 years ago. When she was seven years old her parents removed to the Mallee. Whilst there when she was about 12 years of age - she met with a severe burning accident, from which she never fully recovered. The old trouble came on about 12 months ago, and she was removed to the Wycheproof Hospital for treatment. After remaining there for some time it was deemed advisable for her to go to Melbourne, and she was admitted to the Melbourne Hospital, where she passed away as stated in spite of the utmost care and attention. Deceased was well-known and highly respected by a wide circleof friends in the Donald, Corack and Wycheproof districts, and the deepest sympathy is felt with her relatives.
