Weideman, Launceston), Eric Arthur, Scottsdale, and daughter-in-law, Lena, Aged 89 years, Patient sufferer at rest.
Examiner (Launceston, Tas.) Monday 23 July 1945 OBITUARY MRS. M. TUCKER, SCOTTSDALE; The death of Mrs. Medora Tucker at her home at Scottsdale last week at the age of 89 removed a link with one of the oldest pioneering families in Tasmania.
Mrs. Tucker was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. W. M. Dean, who in 1827 brought horses to Van Dlemen's Land and later conducted a wagon service between Westbury and Launceston. The original home of the Dean family, Belle Vue, still stands in Paterson St.. Launceston.
Mirs. Tucker, whose husband, Mr. Arthur Tucker, died two years ago, is survived by her son. Eric, Scottsdale, and daughter, Mrs. F. Weldeman, Launceaston. Interment took place at the Ellesmere Cemetery, Scottsdale.
